Helen & Andy had chosen to hold their wedding in the busy city of Leeds. The Crown Plaza Hotel sits in the very middle of this sprawling metropolis, and offers amazing dizzy height views of the city below.
Helen was calm and getting ready for her final makeup and hair when we arrived, no nerves yet she tells us… maybe the champagne was helping!
The beautiful large suite was busy with bridesmaids and mums finishing off last minute details. The younger flower girls arrived to collect their posies and have their hair finished just before it was time to head to the ceremony room.
After the ceremony guests made their way to ground level and headed across the street to City Square for the group and formal shots. After photos the guests headed back to the hotel, where they were going to be treated to a cocktail making session, all of which they get to drink.
Helen & Andy had chosen to have their personal photography time walking through Leeds to the Corn Exchange, stopping on route to places special to them both. Nothing is out of bounds on wedding days, even the escalators in the malls offer great photo opportunities, but your timing has to be spot on…
The cocktail making was still in full swing we got back, but it was soon time to be seated for the wedding breakfast. After a great meal, the eagerly anticipated speeches began, and what entertaining speeches they were… Andy’s best man was enjoying roasting the groom far too much!

As the sun set we headed outside again to take some final shots of the bride and groom. The city was now buzzing with groups of partying girls and guys, so it was inevitable that we had some photo bombing… great fun, great shots, we just have no idea who they are! Helen was a great sport and obliged all requests.
We would like to thank all the staff at the Crown Plaza, for helping to make Helen & Andy’s day perfect and for looking after us so well.
