Linsay & Ryan – Berties Elland
Linsay & Ryan were married at St Andrew’s Church in Stainland. Just getting Linsay into the church without her been blown away was a job in itself today. The UK was experiencing some of the worst weather in history this week, and today was no exception… but we were prepared!
Once inside the church doorway, her waiting bridesmaids hastily smoothed, fluffed and flounced and had Linsay ready to walk down the aisle in no time at all. Nobody would have known that she had just arrived in a force 9 gale!
After the ceremony we had arranged to stay in church for a few formal pictures with family. As it was Christmas the church was still decorated and had a huge Christmas tree which made for some lovely seasonal photos.
Their reception was been held in the beautiful Crystal Ballroom, at Berties in Elland. The guests had all arrived and were happily awaiting the arrival of the bride and groom in order to shower them with confetti… umm, think we might need to take a rain check on this one!
As the happy couple mingled and chatted with their guests, we were keeping a very watchful eye on the conditions outside, so when the rain showed signs of stopping, we rushed outside (with our bride and groom) and made full use of this break in the weather. It was still very cold, but Linsay was a star and was more than happy to take the opportunity for some personal time with Ryan, even the best man and bridesmaids joined in the fun.
Soon it was time to head back indoors so the wedding breakfast could begin. The ballroom looked stunning, Linsay‘s attention to detail was superb. A lovely meal was served and was followed by the t “boys” delivering a set of great speeches. The cutting of the cake rounded off the afternoon celebrations… very soon it would be time to Party and the ultimate first dance…
