Rebecca & John – Bagden Hall Weddings
The Wedding…
Bagden Hall in Denby Dale was the setting for today’s s wedding. Built by a wealthy Victorian mill owner in the 1860’s, Bagden hall is a luxurious country house hotel set in its own stunning grounds.
Rebecca was just having the final touches to hair and makeup when we arrived. All was calm and very relaxed and little Ashten was desperate to get into her sparkly princess dress. She was a superb little model, and had smiles all day.
Temperatures were low very low and the added shower didn’t make for perfect outdoor photography; but Rebecca was prepared, nothing was going to stop her getting her stunning photos, so sat in the corner of the room, already for the off was her snugly warm coat, brolly and boots…
Rebecca, was now been dressed by her girls, so we left her for while and went in search of John and his boys. You didn’t need 2 guesses to know where to look first… so with drinks in hand we nipped outside for some great shots with Johns pride and joy… his car!
Dad was now waiting at the door all ready to see his daughter for the first time in her dress, she looked beautiful. So after a few fun photos we headed down the grand staircase so the ceremony could begin.
The happy couple were soon Mr & Mrs and it was time to crack open the bubbly! So with drinks in hand we convinced all the guests to leave the warmth of the hotel and to smile for the camera out in the garden… just in time as the rain was starting to fall.
The rain was horrendous, it was lashing down, and it looked like all possibilities of going outside were dashed, so we headed indoors. But with luck on our side it stopped, so we headed back outside rather hastily for Rebecca & John’s personal photography time; the guests were lucky today, all the family formals were taken in the hall, which boasted the huge open fire…
With the restaurant all set for the wedding breakfast, the guests made their way to their seats. A lovely meal was followed but terrific speeches, guests were crying with laughter as the best man took to floor.
A live band started the evening celebrations, and was followed by the couple’s first dance. It was now time to party and we left them all dancing the night away.
We would like to thank Bagden Hall and all their staff for making Rebecca & John’s big day perfect, and for looking after us so well.
