Cat & Nick – The Old Swan Hotel Weddings – Harrogate
One of the most famous hotels in Harrogate was the setting for today’s wedding. With a history going back almost 200 years The Old Swan, surrounded by beautiful lawns and just a short walk into Harrogate, exudes romance and mystery perfect for Cat & Nicks wedding.
Once again the weather was the topic of conversation was it or wasn’t it going to rain…so with the big umbrellas’ packed we arrived ready to capture the bridal prep at the hotel. The very large room was buzzing with activity, but all was calm and organized, with lots of bottle’s of bubbly been enjoyed by the girls.
Cat looked stunning and a little nervous as we prepared to head down stairs and step outside for the short walk to the ceremony room… oh no Rain. Just a quick shower – phew!
As the ceremony concluded and the newlyweds signed the register, the heavens opened again; maybe we were not going to be able to make it out on to the lawn for drinks… but with the same speed it arrived, it stopped and sun came out for the rest of the day!

We had arranged for their personal photography time to be a walk through Harrogate, taking in some of the great buildings and cobbled streets, and ending under the wisteria covered arches in Valley Park. It is always a treat to be able to capture something a little different for our happy couples.
As we arrived back to waiting guests we had just enough time for the family photos before the guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast. The room was looking beautiful, with almost all the table decorations and favours been made by our very own bride. The lovely scent of lavender from the name cards sweetly smelling the room.
Soon it was time to say goodbye and let them continue their celebrations with their guests.
We would like to thank all the staff at The Old Swan, Harrogate for helping to make Cat & Nicks wedding amazing, and for looking after us.
