Patsy & Daniel – Ripley Castle – 30th August 2012
Ripley Castle the amazing home for over 700 years for the Ingleby family was the setting for today’s happy couple Patsy & Daniel.
Ripley holds fond memories for Patsy, and today was going to be exceptional; because working alongside us today were a film crew from The BBC. They were here to film her wedding to Daniel which will be featured in a programme early in 2013 on ITV. Wow! No pressure then…
Their ceremony took place in the Library, located in the Tudor Tower, the huge bay windows and the gardens beyond them providing a great backdrop.
Canapés and drinks were served outside on the terrace, whilst the group and formal shots were taken. The sun was shining but the wind was picking up the pace, so Patsy & Daniel headed down to the lake so we could have the ‘must have’ shots of them together with the Castle in the background. I can confirm that the walk down was wet and very muddy, but Patsy was a good sport and didn’t let it stop her getting her pictures… she did have the foresight to bring her wellie’s… but they were in her room!

On arrival back at the castle, our very happy bride and groom were soon heading into the morning room where their seated guests were awaiting their arrival.
A sumptuous meal, great speeches and the cake cutting rounded off the afternoon.
Early evening we took the ‘Little People’ out into the castle gardens for their own mini shoot, kids are great but would have had us there all night if we would have let them!
We would like to thank all the staff at Ripley for their help in making this a perfect day for not only Patsy & Daniel but for everyone.
