Stacey and Paul were married at the very pretty St. Johns the Baptist Church in Royston, followed by a reception at Nostell Priory, near Wakefield.
The late autumn day was sunny but cool as we travelled to Stacy’s parents for the bridal prep. Everything was running smoothly and on schedule, which made for a great time with Stacy and her girls, before it was time to head out to church.
Stacy looked stunning in her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. Paul was a little nervous, but it wasn’t showing.
As the ceremony finished our new “Mr & Mrs” headed outside for a requested car and confetti shot. To give the guests a little head start as they were all travelling in the old vintage buses to Nostell, we headed back into church for photos in front of the beautiful oriels window, one of only three of its kind in the country!
As we left the church and made our way to Nostell, the weather did its worst and absolutely poured down. It was still raining when we arrived at the Riding School, which meant that guests had to pull out their brollies and make a dash for cover. But with a twist of luck the rain stopped, so we got the drivers to take the vintage buses up to the “big house” for the group photo.
With all the formals finished it was time for Stacy & Paul to have their own personal time, the light was fading a little and it was now quite chilly, so after we had finished in the grounds we headed to the warmth of the Top Hall, inside Nostell.
It was now time to head back across to the Riding School stopping for the last time for pictures amongst the many pumpkins that lined the pathway to the orangery; it was bonfire night after all…
With the guests now seated it was time enjoy a sumptuous meal and to finish off with a great set of speeches by the men folk.
At 8.15 it was a treat time for the guests – a bonfire night firework display! The rain held off for the duration of this spectacular event and was a lovely end to our day with Stacy & Paul.
We would like to thank all the staff of Nostell Priory and Dine for making Stacy & Paul’s day perfect and for looking after us so well.
