Clare & Matt – Craiglands Hotel – Ilkley
We just knew the wedding of Clare & Matt was going to be great fun from the outset. It may have had something to do with the fact that we were going to be climbing up the rocks at the Cow & Calf no matter what the weather…
We arrived at The Craiglands Hotel ready for Clare’s bridal prep. All was calm and organised and after some lovely shots of Clare, soon we were heading downstairs for the ceremony.
All the guests had been seated including Clare & Matt’s two dogs… albeit they were full size cardboard cut-outs, absolutely brilliant – they were the behaved pets we have ever had!
The sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky as the guests joined the bride and groom out on the lawns for drinks and canapés, but not for long… those lovely rocks were calling!

What a great time we had, Clare was up for anything, and although it was a very busy bank holiday weekend, the public were very obliging (but then after all how many times do you get the chance to watch a beautiful bride shimmy up those huge rocks in her wedding dress). The time just flew by and we had to make a hasty retreat back to the hotel to capture the group photos.
A lovely meal was rounded off with some very emotional speeches; even our lovely bride stood up and made her own thank you’s.
Clare had arranged entertainment for the guests in the downtime before the first dance, and one of these was our Fun Shoot: It didn’t take long for the guests to come and don a few props and join in the fun.
The sun was now setting and the first dance was about to start: Not a hug and shuffle as discussed, but a full blown dance routine. Well done guys, your audience enjoyed every minute if it!
