Lee and Rebecca had chosen the very lovely Bagden Hall Hotel, near Denby Dale for their big day. This is a regular venue for us, and one that is always a pleasure to photograph.
The boys were already dressed and looking very dapper when we arrived, they had also found the bar… but that didn’t stop them from having their photos taken whilst enjoying a quick beer!
Rebecca arrived at Bagden and she looked stunning when she stepped out of the car with the help of her very proud Dad. A quick visit to see the registrars and a catchup with the waiting bridesmaids and pageboys gave the last arriving guests time to be seated before Rebecca made her grand entrance.
After a lovely ceremony, we moved outside for photography time. With the weather just holding out, and rain not forecast until late afternoon, we were able to have plenty of time to take some stunning bride and groom shots in the old folly across the bridge, and around the water’s edge.
The guests were happy to watch our happy couple from the terrace, whilst nibbling on canapés and sipping champagne… But it would soon be their turn for photos and it was getting a little bit chilly… They were a great set of guests and as such we had all the formal shots finished in double quick time and everyone could head back indoors for the wedding breakfast to begin.
After a lovely meal, the boys rounded off a great afternoon with their funny and entertaining speeches.
The rain was now making its appearance, albeit light and patchy, but we took Rebecca and Lee outside for one last set of images… ‘The umbrella shots’.
It didn’t take long to set up our gear, but it did give Becky & Lee a little time to take in some early evening air.
The evening guests were now starting to arrive just as we completed our evening shoot. The daylight had now gone and the rain had set in, but with everything now ticked off the list, everyone could now relax and get ready for the evening celebrations.
Cake cutting was followed by the first dance and then it was time to leave the newlyweds and let them party the night away.
We would like to thank all the staff at Bagden Hall for helping to make Rebecca & Lee’s wedding perfect and as always for looking after us so well.
